Missouri High School Basketball - Appleton City thwarts Midway
January 21, 2025: Appleton City, MO 64724 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Appleton City Bulldogs (Appleton City, MO) and the visiting Midway Vikings (Cleveland, MO), observed Appleton City's basketball team knock off Midway by a score of 55-47.
The Bulldogs (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeland (Deepwater, MO). The Vikings come into the Western Missouri challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Lakeland prevailed over Fair Play (Fair Play, MO), 43-37, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Jasper Eagles (Jasper, MO) in a Western Missouri challenge, on Friday, January 24. Midway will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
