January 21, 2025: Garden Grove, IA 50103 Mormon Trail Saints (Garden Grove, IA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), 72-55 in a league match.
With the victory, Mormon Trail advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Saints travel to Moravia (Moravia, IA) to face the Mohawks in a Bluegrass match on Friday, January 24. The Mohawks enter the match with a record of 9-7. Moravia won 70-32 in their recent league match against Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA)
The Sabers now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Melcher-Dallas for a Bluegrass match on Friday, January 24. Twin Cedars will face a Saints squad coming off a 63-28 non-league win over Diagonal (Diagonal, IA). The Saints record now stands at 1-12.
