Kentucky High School Basketball - Franklin County triumphant over Great Crossing
January 21, 2025: Georgetown, KY The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) and the host Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY), observed Franklin County's basketball team overwhelm Great Crossing by a score of 62-39.
The Flyers (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Hills (Frankfort, KY). The Wolverines come into the District 41 challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Western Hills trounced Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY), 64-35, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the encounter the Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. Great Crossing will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 53-48 league loss to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY).
