Texas High School Basketball - Idalou triumphant over Friona
January 21, 2025: Idalou, TX 79329 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) and the visiting Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX), observed Idalou's basketball team overwhelm Friona by a score of 53-28.
The Wildcats (23-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX). The Eagles come into the 3A Region I District 2 challenge with a 13-16 record. In their last challenge, Roosevelt trounced Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX), 49-30, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Chieftans encounter the Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Friona will attempt to improve on its 16-13 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 39-23 league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX).
