New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Lunas knocks off West Mesa
January 21, 2025: Los Lunas, NM 87031 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) and the visiting West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), observed Los Lunas's basketball team overcome West Mesa by a margin of 44-35.
The Tigers (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars come into the 5A District 5 challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, Atrisco Heritage Academy dropped by Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM), 65-17, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 24. West Mesa will attempt to better on its 10-8 season record. The Ravens come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to Melrose (Melrose, NM).
