The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lower Merion Aces (Ardmore, PA) and the host Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), observed Lower Merion's basketball team edge Springfield by a margin of 41-34.

The Aces (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA). The Jaguars come into the Central challenge with a 16-1 record. In their last challenge, Garnet Valley edged Radnor (Radnor, PA), 51-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) in a Central challenge, on Thursday, January 23.
