North Dakota High School Basketball - New Salem routs White Shield
January 21, 2025: New Salem, ND 58563 In Tuesday's league contest, the host New Salem Holsteins basketball team scored a big 71-26 triumph over the White Shield Warriors.
The Holsteins (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND). The Cougars go into the B District 8 contest with a 13-1 record. In their last contest, Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] smashed Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] (Elgin, ND), 50-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Center-Stanton Wildcats (Center, ND) in a B District 8 contest, on Thursday, January 23. White Shield will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 1-13 record after their 52-29 league loss to Garrison (Garrison, ND).
