Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV), 62-60 in a league match.

With the victory, Spring Valley advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Timberwolves host Capital (Charleston, WV) to meet the Cougars in a Mountain State match on Thursday, January 23. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 3-8. Capital lost 55-45 in their recent league match against Huntington (Huntington, WV)

The Red Dragons now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodrow Wilson for a Freelance match on Saturday, January 25. St. Albans will meet a Flying Eagles squad coming off a 68-66 non-league win over PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Flying Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
