Alabama High School Basketball - North Sand Mountain ripped by Section

January 22, 2022: Higdon, AL 35979

The Section Lions basketball team scored 74 points and held the host North Sand Mountain Bison to 45 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 19-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westminster Christian for a non-league contest on Monday, January 24. Section will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 63-23 non-league win over Madison County (Gurley, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-5.

The Bison (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against South Pittsburg (South Pittsburg, TN). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, South Pittsburg was routed by Van Buren County (Spencer, TN), 55-52, in a league contest.
