Virginia High School Basketball - Riverheads nips Staunton

January 22, 2022: Staunton, VA 24401

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA), saw Riverheads's basketball squad hold off Staunton by a count of 49-46.

With the victory, Riverheads upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Monroe (Stanardsville, VA) to play the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 24. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.

Next up, the Storm play the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Monday, January 24. Staunton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Green Hornets come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 64-42 league win over Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA).
