Wisconsin High School Basketball - Amherst tops Nekoosa
January 22, 2024: Amherst, WI 54406 Amherst Falcons (Amherst, WI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nekoosa Papermakers (Nekoosa, WI), 63-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Amherst upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Falcons host Bonduel (Bonduel, WI) to play the Bears in a Central Wisconsin - East bout on Thursday, January 25. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 13-1. Bonduel won 63-40 in their recent league bout against Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI)
Next up, the Papermakers play the Adams-Friendship Green Devils (Adams, WI) in a South Central bout, on Thursday, January 25. Nekoosa will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Green Devils come into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 65-27 non-league loss to Berlin (Berlin, WI).
