January 22, 2024: Tuscumbia, AL 35674 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Covenant Christian Eagles (Tuscumbia, AL) and the visiting Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL), saw Covenant Christian's basketball squad wallop Waterloo by a tally of 55-13.
With the victory, Covenant Christian improves its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Shoals Christian (Florence, AL) to confront the Flame in a 1A Area 16 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Flame come into the challenge with a record of 11-11. Shoals Christian won 78-49 in their recent league challenge against Cherokee (Cherokee, AL)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. Waterloo will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 46-44 league loss to Phil Campbell (Phil Campbell, AL).
