January 22, 2024: Freehold, NJ 07728 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) and the host Freehold Boro Colonials (Freehold, NJ), saw Holmdel's basketball squad hold off Freehold Boro by a tally of 54-50.
With the victory, Holmdel improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ) to confront the Huskies in a Shore A - Central challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Matawan Regional won 61-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ)
Next up, the Colonials confront the Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Freehold Boro will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ).
