The Northern Durham Knights basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Halifax County Comets to 57 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

The Knights now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jordan for a 4A DAC contest on Tuesday, January 23. Northern Durham will meet a Falcons team coming off a 67-61 league win over Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 9-7.

The Comets (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Phoenix enter the Freelance contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Mecklenburg County nudged Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA), 63-54, in a non-league contest.
