Mississippi High School Basketball - Humphreys County fells Winona
January 22, 2024: Winona, MS 38967 Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Winona Tigers (Winona, MS), 57-47 in a league bout.
With the win, Humphreys County upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-14.
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Edwards Tigers (Ruleville, MS) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Winona will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 57-49 league win over Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS).
