Virginia High School Basketball - New Kent nips Colonial Heights
January 22, 2024: Colonial Heights, VA 23834 New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Colonial Heights Colonials (Colonial Heights, VA), 52-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, New Kent upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Trojans host Bruton (Williamsburg, VA) to play the Panthers in a Bay Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Bruton lost 69-29 in their recent league bout against Grafton (Yorktown, VA)
Next up, the Colonials play the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) in a Central bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Colonial Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 102-17 league loss to Thomas Dale (Chester, VA).
