Alabama High School Basketball - Holy Spirit Catholic fells Pickens County
January 22, 2024: Tuscaloosa, AL 35405 Holy Spirit Catholic Saints (Tuscaloosa, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL), 49-30 in a league bout.
With the win, Holy Spirit Catholic upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Saints travel to Berry (Berry, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Area 9 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Berry won 43-39 in their recent non-league bout against Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL)
Next up, the Tornadoes clash with the South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Pickens County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Stallions go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 51-49 league loss to Berry (Berry, AL).
