The Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting Mt. Pleasant Cardinals (San Jose, CA), 49-35 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Oak Grove for a Blossom Valley - Santa Teresa East bout on Friday, January 24. Gilroy will play a Eagles team coming off a 57-53 league win over Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Mt. Pleasant falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA) to play the Cougars in a Blossom Valley - Santa Teresa East bout on Friday, January 24.
