In Wednesday's league contest, the host Rosa Fort Lions basketball team scored a good 62-44 win over the Independence Wildcats.

The Lions (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS). The Red Panthers come into the 3A Region 2 contest with a 21-4 record. In their last contest, Coahoma County defeated North Panola (Sardis, MS), 56-32, in a league contest.
