In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Thetford Academy Panthers basketball team scored a good 70-57 triumph over the North Country Union Falcons.

The Panthers (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Region (Orleans, VT). The Rangers go into the Capital contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Lake Region was topped by Randolph (Randolph, VT), 61-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the U-32 Raiders (Montpelier, VT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. North Country Union will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record.
