New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia overwhelms La Cueva
January 22, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87110 The Sandia Matadors basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting La Cueva Bears to 18 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Matadors now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Capital for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. Sandia will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 55-15 non-league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, La Cueva falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 24.
