January 22, 2025: Mount Airy, NC 27030 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), observed Mount Airy's basketball team overwhelm North Stokes by a score of 67-45.
The Granite Bears (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, East Wilkes was routed by Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 50-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. North Stokes will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Buckin' Elks come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 57-45 non-league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
