Illinois High School Basketball - Somonauk nipped by Genoa-Kingston
January 23, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 The Genoa-Kingston Cogs nipped the visiting Somonauk Bobcats basketball squad by a margin of 57-53 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cogs (8-13) will now prepare for their test against Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL). The Timberwolves go into the non-league test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Indian Creek got by Westminster Christian (Elgin, IL), 62-40, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 7-15 record. They play next when they travel to Hiawatha for a non-league test on Friday, January 27. Somonauk will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 68-22 non-league loss to Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 5-16.
