Illinois High School Basketball - Sandwich holds off Somonauk
December 21, 2022: Sandwich, IL 60548 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) and the visiting Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), saw Sandwich's basketball squad hold off Somonauk by a tally of 56-50.
With the victory, Sandwich improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL) to confront the Pirates in a Interstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 26. Somonauk will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 50-43 non-league win over Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
