January 23, 2023: McDonald, PA 15057 In Monday's non-league outing, the Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) basketball squad beat the visiting West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA), by a count of 40-30.
The Rangers (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against Carlynton (Carnegie, PA). The Cougars go into the WPIAL 2A 2 outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Carlynton was topped by Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA), 63-23, in a non-league outing.
The Pioneers now hold a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Avella for a WPIAL 1A 2 outing on Thursday, January 26. West Greene will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 68-47 non-league loss to Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-9.
