January 23, 2023: Howard, SD 57349 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) and the visiting McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), saw Howard's basketball squad overcome McCook Central/Montrose by a tally of 51-42.
With the victory, Howard improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD) to confront the Huskies in a B Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Bridgewater/Emery lost 48-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD)
Next up, the Fighting Cougars confront the Chester Flyers (Chester, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 26. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Flyers come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 59-42 non-league loss to Beresford (Beresford, SD).
