February 10, 2023: Presho, SD 57568 The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars basketball team (Salem, SD), was nudged 44-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Lyman Raiders (Presho, SD)
The Raiders now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wall for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 14. Lyman will confront a Eagles team coming off a 58-46 non-league win over St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The Eagles record now stands at 13-5.
The Fighting Cougars (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Tri-Valley (Colton, SD). The Mustangs come into the A Region 3 battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Tri-Valley edged Milbank (Milbank, SD), 60-57, in a non-league battle.
