Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Reservoir 'Gators (Fulton, MD), 52-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakland Mills upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Scorpions host Glenelg (Glenelg, MD) to play the Gladiators in a Howard County bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Glenelg won 57-44 in their recent league bout against Reservoir (Fulton, MD)

Next up, the 'Gators play the Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Reservoir will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 48-36 non-league win over Walkersville (Walkersville, MD).
