California High School Basketball - Albany tops El Cerrito
January 23, 2024: Albany, CA 94706 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Albany Cougars (Albany, CA) and the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), saw Albany's basketball squad knock off El Cerrito by a tally of 59-42.
With the victory, Albany improves its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Kennedy (Richmond, CA) to play the Eagles in a Tri-County - Stone challenge on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. Kennedy lost 61-52 in their recent league challenge against Swett (Crockett, CA)
Next up, the Gauchos play the Hercules Titans (Hercules, CA) in a Tri-County - Stone challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. El Cerrito will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 59-46 league loss to Bethel (Vallejo, CA).
