Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Avon Orioles (Avon, IN) and the visiting Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN), saw Avon's basketball squad hold off Decatur Central by a count of 62-56.

With the victory, Avon upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Orioles travel to Westfield (Westfield, IN) to play the Shamrocks in a Hoosier Crossroads challenge on Friday, January 26. The Shamrocks come into the challenge with a record of 12-1. Westfield won 68-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN)

Next up, the Hawks play the Plainfield Quakers (Plainfield, IN) in a Mid-State challenge, on Friday, January 26. Decatur Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Quakers come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 61-42 league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, IN).
