January 23, 2024: Moreauville, LA 71355 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Avoyelles Mustangs (Moreauville, LA) and the visiting Pickering Red Devils (Leesville, LA), saw Avoyelles's basketball squad hold off Pickering by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Avoyelles improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Oakdale (Oakdale, LA) to confront the Warriors in a 2A District 4 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Oakdale won 83-65 in their recent league challenge against Rosepine (Rosepine, LA)
Next up, the Red Devils confront the Holy Savior Menard Eagles (Alexandria, LA) in a 2A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Pickering will attempt to improve on its 16-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 68-36 league loss to Glenmora (Glenmora, LA).
