Tennessee High School Basketball - Cannon County tops Cascade
January 23, 2024: Woodbury, TN 37190 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN) and the visiting Cascade Champions (Wartrace, TN), saw Cannon County's basketball squad knock off Cascade by a count of 62-47.
With the victory, Cannon County upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Forrest (Chapel Hill, TN) to play the Rockets in a 2A District 9 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 3-14. Forrest won 53-50 in their recent league challenge against Community (Unionville, TN)
Next up, the Champions play the Community Vikings/Viqueens (Unionville, TN) in a 2A District 9 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Cascade will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Vikings/Viqueens come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 54-43 non-league win over East Hickman County (Lyles, TN).
