Maryland High School Basketball - Central holds off College Park Academy
January 23, 2024: Riverdale, MD Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Central Falcons (Capitol Heights, MD) and the host College Park Academy (Riverdale, MD), saw Central's basketball squad hold off College Park Academy by a tally of 55-53.
With the victory, Central improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Falcons host International High School at Largo (Largo, MD) to confront the Sea Turtles in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Sea Turtles come into the challenge with a record of 0-4.
Next up, the confront the Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Thursday, January 25. College Park Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 67-65 league win over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD).
