Maryland High School Basketball - Friendly holds off College Park Academy
January 4, 2024: Riverdale, MD Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD) and the host College Park Academy (Riverdale, MD), saw Friendly's basketball squad hold off College Park Academy by a tally of 57-50.
With the victory, Friendly improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Suitland (Forestville, MD) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Suitland won 61-43 in their recent non-league challenge against La Plata (La Plata, MD)
Next up, the confront the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers (Laurel, MD) in a Freelance challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. College Park Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 113-12 league win over International High School at Largo (Largo, MD).
