Maryland High School Basketball - Largo overwhelms Friendly
January 25, 2024: Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), saw Largo's basketball squad wallop Friendly by a tally of 78-50.
With the victory, Largo improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Crossland (Temple Hills, MD) to confront the Cavaliers in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 0-11. Crossland lost 81-18 in their recent league challenge against Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Oxon Hill Clippers (Oxon Hill, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Monday, January 29. Friendly will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 65-47 league win over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD).
