January 23, 2024: Greensburg, PA 15601 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions (Greensburg, PA) and the visiting Serra Catholic Eagles (McKeesport, PA), saw Greensburg Central Catholic's basketball squad hold off Serra Catholic by a tally of 61-59.
With the victory, Greensburg Central Catholic improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Centurions host Leechburg (Leechburg, PA) to confront the Blue Devils in a WPIAL 2A 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-13. Leechburg lost 68-21 in their recent league challenge against Jeannette (Jeannette, PA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Clairton Bears (Clairton, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 3 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Serra Catholic will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 70-33 non-league win over Propel Braddock Hills (Pittsburgh, PA).
