January 23, 2024: New Braunfels, TX 78132 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX) and the visiting John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), saw John Paul II's basketball squad wallop John Paul II by a tally of 66-39.
With the victory, John Paul II improves its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Guardians host Holy Cross (San Antonio, TX) to play the Knights in a TAPPS 4A District 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Holy Cross won 72-27 in their recent league challenge against Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX)
Next up, the Centurions play the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights (Austin, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 3 challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. John Paul II will attempt to improve on its 13-19 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 73-58 league win over Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX).
