Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Montour trounces Mars

The Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), 69-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (13-2) will now prepare for their test against West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA). The Titans go into the WPIAL 4A 4 test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, West Mifflin walloped Ringgold (Monongahela, PA), 61-57, in a non-league test.

The Fightin' Planets now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to North Hills for a WPIAL 5A 4 test on Friday, January 26. Mars will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 78-72 non-league win over Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA). The Indians record now stands at 7-7.
