Washington High School Basketball - Forks knocked off by Mount Vernon Christian
January 23, 2024: Forks, WA 98331 The Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Forks Spartans to 30 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Darrington for a 1B/2B Northwest contest on Friday, January 26. Mount Vernon Christian will battle a Loggers team coming off a 32-31 league win over Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, WA). The Loggers record now stands at 3-6.
The Spartans (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Ocosta (Westport, WA). The Wildcats enter the 2B Pacific contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Ocosta was defeated by Ilwaco (Ilwaco, WA), 70-47, in a league contest.
