January 23, 2024: Lucedale, MS 39452 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) and the host George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS), saw West Harrison's basketball squad wallop George County by a tally of 72-37.
With the victory, West Harrison improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Pascagoula lost 48-33 in their recent league challenge against Hancock (Kiln, MS)
Next up, the Rebels confront the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a 6A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 26. George County will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the challenge with a 10-17 record after their 32-27 league win over Long Beach (Long Beach, MS).
