Oregon High School Basketball - Neah-Kah-Nie holds off Yamhill-Carlton
January 23, 2024: Rockaway Beach, OR 97136 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) and the visiting Yamhill-Carlton Tigers (Yamhill, OR), saw Neah-Kah-Nie's basketball squad hold off Yamhill-Carlton by a tally of 48-47.
With the victory, Neah-Kah-Nie improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Riverdale (Portland, OR) to confront the Mavericks in a 3A Coastal Range challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Riverdale lost 44-23 in their recent league challenge against Banks (Banks, OR)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR) in a 3A Coastal Range challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Yamhill-Carlton will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Columbians come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 40-33 league loss to Warrenton (Warrenton, OR).
