California High School Basketball - Salesian College Preparatory holds off Pinole Valley
January 23, 2024: Pinole, CA 94564 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Salesian College Preparatory Pride (Richmond, CA) and the host Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA), saw Salesian College Preparatory's basketball squad hold off Pinole Valley by a tally of 35-34.
With the victory, Salesian College Preparatory improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Pride host St. Mary's (Stockton, CA) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 17-5. St. Mary's won 78-46 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA)
Next up, the Spartans confront the De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA) in a Tri-County - Rock challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Pinole Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 50-36 league loss to Swett (Crockett, CA).
