Oregon High School Basketball - Sheldon overwhelms South Eugene
January 23, 2024: Eugene, OR 97401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) and the visiting South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), saw Sheldon's basketball squad wallop South Eugene by a tally of 57-32.
With the victory, Sheldon improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Irish travel to North Medford (Medford, OR) to play the Black Tornado in a 6A Southwest challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Black Tornado come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. North Medford lost 67-23 in their recent league challenge against South Medford (Medford, OR)
Next up, the Axe play the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. South Eugene will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 73-25 league win over Roseburg (Roseburg, OR).
