Stony Point Tigers (Round Rock, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX), 57-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stony Point upgrades its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Round Rock (Round Rock, TX) to play the Dragons in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 26. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 23-6. Round Rock won 49-31 in their recent league bout against Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Vipers play the Manor Mustangs (Manor, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 26. Vandegrift will attempt to upgrade on its 21-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 11-19 record after their 53-36 league loss to McNeil (Austin, TX).
