Georgia High School Basketball - Whitwell bested by Dalton Academy
January 23, 2025: Dalton, GA 30720 Dalton Academy Pumas (Dalton, GA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Whitwell Tigers (Whitwell, TN), 77-63 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Dalton Academy advances its record to 1-14 on the year. The Pumas travel to Gordon Lee (Chickamauga, GA) to face the Trojans in a A D1 Region 7 match on Friday, January 24. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 5-16. Gordon Lee lost 66-46 in their recent league match against Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA)
The Tigers now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berean Academy for a non-league match on Friday, January 24. Whitwell will face a Eagles squad coming off a 58-34 non-league win over Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 9-1.
