The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE) and the host Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), observed Lincoln Southwest's basketball team edge Grand Island by a score of 72-67.

The Silver Hawks (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Fremont (Fremont, NE). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Fremont was tipped by Kearney (Kearney, NE), 70-65, in a non-league challenge.
