In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Lincoln North Star Navigators basketball team scored a big 87-59 win over the Grand Island Islanders.

The Navigators (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE). The Silver Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Southwest smashed Kearney (Kearney, NE), 72-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Islanders battle the Benson Bunnies (Omaha, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Grand Island will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record.
