Virginia High School Basketball - Marion thwarts Tazewell
January 23, 2025: Marion, VA 24354 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA) and the visiting Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), observed Marion's basketball team knock off Tazewell by a score of 80-68.
The Scarlet Hurricanes (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Radford was knocked off by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 78-58, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA) in a Southwest challenge, on Friday, January 24. Tazewell will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Blue Tornado come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 74-56 league loss to Virginia High (Bristol, VA).
