In Thursday's league test, the Prairie View Academy Spartans (Bastrop, LA) basketball squad trounced the host Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles (Vicksburg, MS), by a score of 79-50.

Next, the Spartans encounter the River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) in a MAIS 3A District 4 test, on Friday, January 24. Prairie View Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 19-0 record after their 65-13 league win over Franklin Academy (Winnsboro, LA).
