Mississippi High School Basketball - Wheeler nips Tupelo Christian Prep
January 23, 2025: Belden, MS 38826 In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Wheeler Eagles basketball team scored a close 61-57 win over the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles.
The Eagles (15-11) will now prepare for their contest against Thrasher (Booneville, MS). The Rebels come into the 1A Region 1 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Thrasher was tipped by Biggersville (Corinth, MS), 88-63, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS) in a 1A Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Tupelo Christian Prep will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Bearcats come into the contest with a 15-5 record after their 57-50 league loss to Biggersville (Corinth, MS).
